TINTON FALLS, N.J., JANUARY 31, 2006 – The Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls (RHTF), a 60-bed acute rehab facility located at 2 Centre Plaza, is offering a variety of support groups open to the community. All programs are free. For more information, contact the numbers listed for each group.

The Shore Area Stroke Survivors (SASS) group meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. The next sessions will be held on February 8, March 8 and April 12. The group hosts a monthly speaker followed by discussion and refreshments. This group is very active in the community and often schedules recreational activities and events. The New Jersey Stroke Activity Center (NJASAC) meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 2 p.m. Upcoming sessions will be held on February 15; March 1, 15 and April 5, 19. The Amputee Support Group meets the first Monday of each month at 1 p.m. The next support groups will be held on February 6, March 6 and April 3. This group is designed for amputees, their family members and caregivers. For more information, please contact Sharon Collins at (732) 460-5378.

The Neuropathy Support group meets every other month on a Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. The next meeting of the group will be held on Saturday, March 11. This support group is for anyone living with any form of neuropathy. The sessions include guest speakers, information and resource sharing and support.
